Model Adut Akech Shares Tribute After The Shock Death Of A Friend

Supermodel Adut Akech has shared a moving tribute to her friend Bor Mabil.  

The Vogue model, 19, was clearly shaken as she spoke of the importance of 'holding your loved ones close,' to Instagram on Sunday. 

Bor, 19, was the teenage sister of former Adelaide United star Awer Mabil.

A white Audi sedan was driving on Andrews Rd before it veered off and smashed into a fence at the intersection of Lillypilly Walk.    

Bor Mabil was a passenger in the car and died at the scene, according to emergency services.

A driver has been arrested and charged with aggravated causing death by dangerous driving. 

Adult first shared a snap of Bor to Instagram, obviously struggling with the shock of the loss. 

'The thought of you being gone makes me sick to my stomach,' she wrote.

'My heart is completely broken into pieces. I wish I could see you one last time,' she added, thanking her friend for everything she had done for her.

She continued: 'Thank you so much for being there for me when I didn't have a lot of people there for me, despite our differences.'

'Let go of any hatred filling your heart towards those people. Hug, kiss and hold them tight because tomorrow is not promised for anyone.'

The model later said on her Instagram story: 'I don't how to cope with this,' with tears running down her cheeks 


Later taking to her Instagram Story, Adut revealed that she was deeply struggling with the loss. 

Appearing raw, and with tears running down her cheeks, she said: 'I don't how to cope with this'.  

She added: 'I appreciate each and every one of you.' 

Adut is an in-demand South Sudanese-Australian model, having recently graced the cover of Australian Vogue magazine. 

She has also walked for high-end fashion houses Valentino, Prada and Versace and Chanel.
